House Description

This new holiday house, built in 2004 belongs to dutch owners. The house is furnished comfortable, have more terraces and is situated in the south of Hungary, in a beautiful surrounding in the holiday (town) Magyarhertelend, which forms part of a beautiful nature area. Here you can make wonderful hikes and cycling trips.

In the surrounding are diverse activities to undertake: within a radius of 5 km are 6 lovely lakes, of which the 'Örfu lake' is the biggest and most well known, where diverse water sports opportunities can be found. Within approx. 1 km from the holiday house is a swimming pool. For top relaxation, there are the Thermal baths in diverse places in the area.

The cities Komló, Dombóvár and Pécs are surely worth a visit. Komló is an old mineworkers town in a big protected nature area. Dombóvár has a pleasant centre with many little shops. Pécs is the university town of Hungary. It has an old, completely restored centre with many big and small shops, a casino, bars/restaurants and museum. The older buildings tells their stories from lost times. On Sundays there is a big bubbling market; surely a must to see!

It is possible that the owners might stay on the lower level during your stay.

Southern Transdanubia, south of Lake Balaton, Mediterranean in climate, but also due to the scenery full of fig trees, almond trees, vineyards and rolling hills. From your cottage in Transdanubia you will discover an area full of natural treasures, historical monuments, and a pleasant climate. Here you will find one of the best-preserved cities, the city of Pécs and the wildlife and bird reservation of the National Park Danube-Dráva, and the beautiful nature reserve of the Mecsek mountains, an ideal area for walking.
